Welcome to the world of Vrinda Kishori Stories!

I’m Vrinda Kishori Devi Dasi, a home educating mother of two children based in London, U.K.

I was six years old when I first visited Bhaktivedanta Manor. Some family friends had invited us to join them; so my parents obliged. It was Janmashtami. I watched in awe and fascination as Lord Krsna fought the evil King Kamsa. Oh He was so beautiful and charming and strong. I thought I was in love!

Soon, too soon, we had to leave. I didn’t want to go. I wanted to stay there forever with Lord Krsna. I cried. I kicked. I screamed. Yet my father mercilessly carried me away explaining we ‘had to go home.’

My parents never took me back there.

Fortunately, they’d bought me the children’s Krsna Book by Parvati Dasi. Those stories would keep me going. As a bedtime story. When I felt sad. When I felt happy and relaxed. When I was lonely. When I simply wanted to read about Him – my Lord Krsna was always there. I was developing a positive emotional attachment to Him.

When I was fifteen, I finally met the Hare Krsna devotees again and my journey continued from there…

Today, my determination to share the magic of Lord Krsna’s stories with children has manifested in different ways. From writing Bhagavatam summaries for children, to running Bhagavatam based Baby and Toddler groups, to Bhagavatam themed Yoga Parties for children, to Vrinda Kishori Stories YouTube videos… my heart’s desire is that more and more children will also develop a positive emotional attachment to Lord Krsna. My success is for them to make Him their safe space… for truly, there is no better place to be. Xx
